City of Mobile and The Helios Alliance Announce Abatement Award Allocation Process
In July, the City of Mobile engaged The Helios Alliance to conduct a data-driven analysis that will help the City Council make the best funding decisions for the settlement dollars that have been received to date from the opioid litigation. As part of the Opioid Abatement Award Allocation process, Helios will develop and run a robust request for proposal (RFP) process within four priority areas: treatment, prevention, survival programs, and communication.
The RFP process will be open to all interested parties, and all proposals will be evaluated using a System Dynamics based simulation platform tailored to Mobile.
The Helios Alliance will be hosting a community meeting on Wednesday, September 4, to discuss the simulation platform that aids in the Helios analysis, as well as provide an overview of the RFP process. This meeting is open to all interested applicants, and we hope to see robust engagement from those attending.
